Due to material issues, the contractor for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11’s State Route 171 culvert replacement project located just east of State Route 43 in Carroll County has delayed the road closure one week.
 
The roadway was originally scheduled to be closed to traffic June 11, but it will not be closed until June 18.

Beginning at the intersection of SR 171 and SR 43, traffic will be detoured south on SR 43 to SR 39 in Carrollton, then east on SR 39 to SR 9 north back to SR 171 and reverse.

This road closure is limited to 21 consecutive days.
 
ODOT’s contractor for this $159,975 project is Mike Pusateri Excavating Inc., from East Liverpool, and the overall completion date is July 31.
