FPS staff report
November 14, 2012
Arbor Rd. (CR 14) will be closed today (Nov. 14) near its intersection with Brush Rd. due to a train derailment.
Mike Bryan, superintendent for the Carroll County Highway Department, said the road was closed yesterday after a switch malfunctioned on the railroad causing train cars to block the highway. None of the cars tipped over. The railway is owned by Ohi-Rail.
Bryan said he is not certain when the road will reopen since the company must bring in heavy equipment to place yhe cars back on the railroad track and does not have a timeline for that to occur. |
