Carrollton Jr. High Lady Warriors cruise to win

FPS staff report

The Carrollton Junior High girls track team cruised to a 71-43 win over host Canton South last Wednesday.

The Warriors recorded eight firsts, eight seconds and seven third place finishes.

Placing first for the Warriors were Kelsey Cogan in the 800 and 1,600-meter runs, Kailey Kennedy in the 400, Liza Kirk in the 200 hurdles, April Sisk in the shot and discus, the 800-meter relay team of Briana Aston, Tessa Sanders, Taylor Lowdermilk and Jordan Schlabaugh, and the 1,600-meter relay team of Kennedy, Sanders, Ashley Cartwright and Cogan.

Placing second were Kirk in the 100-meter dash, Sadie Myers in the 1,600, Cartwright in the 400, Chelsea Wiltfang in the 200 hurdles, Chelsea Williams in the shot and discus, Mycala Nichols in the high jump and Lauren Keefer in the 800.

Placing third were Schlabaugh in the 100, Joyce Bell in the 1,600, Keefer in the 400, Kailey Patterson in the long jump, Brooke Rees in the high jump, Emily Davis in the 800 and Sanders in the 200-meter dash.
