Andrew Irwin scored 16 points and Andy Deopruz added 15 to lead Ashton's 5 & 10/McFadden Insurance to a 61-56 win over Hamilton Insurance in the opening game of the Carrollton Men's Recreational Basketball League played last Sunday afternoon in the Carrollton High School gym.
Matt Mitchell added 14 points for the winners.
Zach Pridemore led Hamilton Insurance with 18 points and Curtis Wickerson followed with 16 points.
In game two, Heartland Hill Restaurant defeated Atwood Lanes Pizza 58-42.
Justin Riggs led Heartland Hill with 25 points and Shaun Johnson added 13.
Chad Moore led Atwood with 16 points and Ben Shellenbarger chipped in with 12.
In game three, Dr. Walters DVM downed Guess Motors/Tom White Allstate Insurance 44-39.
Ray Hill led Dr. Walters with 14 points and Casey Hill had 10.
Dustin Shockey led Guess with 15 points and Matt Velain added 10.
