The Lady Warriors won three relays races and recorded wins in the high jump, long jump, 300 hurdles and 3,200-meters, but still came up short to visiting Canton South 67-61 last Tuesday in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference dual meet.
Placing first were the 800-meter relay team of Kaitlin Peterson, Julia Darling, Hillary Galbraith and Cassie Ketchum with a time of 2:31, the 400-meter relay team of Peterson, Galbraith, Renee Davis and Ketchum with a time of 58.3, and the 1,600-meter relay team of Samantha Fitzpatrick, Galbraith, Lauren Cogan and Davis with a time of 5:01.
Rebecca Soisson took the high jump with a jump of 4'4" and Miranda DaRe was first in the long jump with a leap of 13' 8 1/2".
Galbraith took the 300 hurdles with a time of 51.0 and Katelyn Jacobson won the 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:00.
Placing second were Chelsia Stack in the discus with a throw of 89' 9", Megan Perry in the shot with a throw of 30' 11", Darling in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.9, Peterson in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.8, Jacobson in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:02 and Fitzpatrick in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:10.5.
Last Friday, the Lady Warriors took part in the Harstine Invitational at Claymont High School where they placed fifth out of eight teams.
Soisson placed first in the high jump with a jump of 5'0" and Galbraith was first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 49.75.
Placing third for the Warriors were Darling in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.8, Ketchum in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.3, the 400-meter relay team of Galbraith, Peterson, Ketchum and Davis with a time of 55.5.
Placing fourth were Davis in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.3, Ketchum in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.8, Fitzpatrick in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:06.4, the 3,200-meter relay team of Fitzpatrick, Lauren Cogan, Mary Jo Brown and Jacque Kennedy with a time of 11:10 and the 1,600-meter relay team of Galbraith, Peterson, Cogan and Davis with a time of 4:34.
Placing fifth were Morgan White in the discus with a throw of 90'6", Peterson in the 100 with a time of 13.7 and the 800-meter relay team of Galbraith, Peterson, Darling and Ketchum at 1:57.
Placing sixth were Darling in the long jump with a jump of 13'10" and Lindsey Evans in the 1,600 with a time of 6:07.
Carrollton will host United Local Thursday. They will end their regular season next week by hosting Northwest on Tuesday and taking part in the NBC meet next Friday at Canton South High School. |
