The Bell-Herron Middle School girls track team turned in another solid week of action.
The Warriors recorded a 72-42 win over host Canton South last Wednesday and placed first at the United Local Invitational last weekend.
Placing first for Carrollton against Canton South were Stephanie Donley in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, Taylor Shaw in the 800 and 1,600-meter runs, Taylar Bennett in the 400-meter dash, Cheyenne Morsheiser in the shot put, Monica Starre in the long jump, Naomi Young in the high jump, the 400-meter relay team of Alyssa Sammons, Lindsey Schandel, Makenna Leslie, and Young and the 1,600-meter relay team of Bennett, Leslie, Starre and Shaw.
Placing second were Janessa Bell in the 800 and 1,600-meter runs, Morsheiser in the discus, Katelyn Blackburn in the shot and Sammons in the long jump.
Placing third were Sammons in the 100 hurdles, Young in the 100-meter dash, Becca Grunder in the 200 and 400-meter dashes, Angela Bregenzer in the 200 hurdles and Kali Weals in the shot put.
At the United Invitational, Shaw placed first in the 800 and 1,600-meter runs, Starre in the long jump, Donley in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, Bennett in the 400, the 400-meter relay team of Sammons, Schandel, Leslie and Young and the 1,600-meter relay team of Bennett, Leslie, Starre and Shaw.
Placing second was Sammons in the long jump and 100 hurdles.
Placing third was Schandel in the 200-meter dash.
Placing fourth were Young in the high jump and 100-meter dash.
Placing fifth was Bell in the 1,600-meter run and placing sixth were Blackburn in the shot put and Caitlynn Moyer in the 200 hurdles. |
