The Bell-Herron Middle School boys track team improved to 2-0 for the season with their 72-42 win over host Canton South last Wednesday.
Placing first for Carrollton were Lynk Tranter in the 100 hurdles (17.7), the 400-meter dash (59.0) and the high jump (4-feet, 10-inches). Austin Keefer in the 1,600-meter run (5:47.9) and the 800-meter run (2:38.7), Austin Bentley in the shot (45-10) and discus (104-8), Devin Hezoucky in the 200 hurdles (32.8) and Noah Stertzbach in the 200-meter dash (27.0).
Also placing first was the 400-meter relay team of Tristan Stallard, Sage Graham, James Harback and Stertzbach (53.2), the 800-meter relay team of Stollard, Jon Brown, Nate Maykowski and Stertzbach (1:51.1) and the 1,600-meter relay team of Keefer, Sam Dowell, Matt Borland and Brown (4:31.1).
Placing second were Hezoucky in the 100 hurdles, Maykowski in the 100-meter dash and Dowell in the 800-meter run.
Placing third were Borland in the 400, A. J. Vance in the 200 hurdles and Brown in the 200.
The Warriors first win of the season came against Alliance, 80-36.
Placing first were Tranter in the 110 hurdles (17.8), 400-meter dash (59.7) and the high jump (5-2). Tyler Dodd in the 100-meter dash (13.3), Brown in the 200-meter dash (27.8) and Bentley in the shot (44-3) and discus (95-1), the 400-meter relay team of Stollard, Graham, James Harback and Stertzbach (53.2), the 800-meter relay team of Stallard, Brown, Maykowski and Stertzbach (1:52.5) and the 1,600-meter relay team of Keefer, Dowell, Hezoucky and Brown (4:29.8).
Placing second were Keefer in the 800 and 1,600, Stertzbach in the 400, Vance in the 200 hurdles and long jump, Dodd in the shot put, and Harback in the 200-meter dash.
Placing third were Vance in the 100 hurdles, Maykowski in the 100-meter dash, Travis Bake in the 200 hurdles, Dowell in the 800 and long jump, Borland in the high jump and Devon Parrish in the discus. |
