The Lady Warrior softball team saw their record fall to 5-3 for the year as they went 1-2 for the week.
Last Tuesday, the Warriors scored a 10-6 come from behind win over visiting Minerva.
Carrollton trailed 6-3 at the end of three innings, but scored seven runs in the final three innings to pull out the Northeastern Buckeye Conference victory.
Brooke Keane led the Warriors with two triples, a single and three RBIs, while Lexi Sheets added a home run, single and three RBIs. Erin White had a double, single and RBI, Tait Carter a double and single, Carla Adams a pair of singles and two RBIs and Gabi Fletcher and Miranda DeGarmo a single each.
Sheets got the win as she scattered six hits, struckout eight and walked two.
Ashley Kerr took the loss for the Lions.
Last Saturday at home, the Warriors dropped games against Jackson, 10-5 and New Philadelphia 3-2.
Against Jackson, the Polar Bears jumped on the Warriors for 10 runs in the first four innings.
Miranda DeGarmo led the Warriors with a double, single and two RBIs, while Sheets added three singles and Brittany Wilson a single.
Carter and Sheets combined to take the loss.
Kaity Davis recorded the win for Jackson. She struckout eight, gave up eight hits and walked five.
Against the Quakers, the Warriors scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to make it close.
Carter led the Warrior batters with a pair of singles and a RBI, while Miranda DeGarmo added a single and RBI. Sheets, Fletcher, Meneely DeGarmo, Samantha Meister, Kieley Dulaney each added a single. |
