The Carrollton boys soccer team wrapped up their most successful season with a banquet held Nov. 11 at Days Inn in Carrollton.
The Warriors finished with an overall record of 9-9 and won their first sectional championship.
Head coach Eric Knotts and assistants Larry Devine and Rusty McLean awarded members of the team with special awards and varsity letters.
Senior Gage Spears was chosen as the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Sophomore Ben Knotts received awards as the Best Mid Fielder and Most Assists.
Dylan McLean was honored with the Best Forward Award and Most Goals Award.
Senior Ben Atkinson received the Coaches Award.
Junior Tyler Timberlake received the Most Improved Award and junior Conrad Burns the Most Consistent Award.
The Best Defensive Player Award went to senior Daniel Raper.
Earning their fourth-year varsity letters were Atkinson, Joel Baker and Spears.
Receiving their third-year letters were junior Zane Pyles, senior Jacob Baker, senior Juan Gomez, Burns, Raper and Timberlake.
Receiving All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference honors were Burns, first team; Pyles and Knotts, second team, and Spears and McLean, honorable mention.
Receiving All-Eastern District honors were Burns and Pyles, first team; McLean, second team, and Spears and Knotts, honorable mention.
