Consumers goes 12-0 on season

FPS staff report

The Consumers National Bank B-League softball team wrapped up their regular season with a perfect 12-0 record.

On June 15, Consumers defeated the Willen Warriors 11-8 at Dellroy.

Brooke Keane led Consumers with four hits, including a double, while Lexi Sheets added two triples and Tasha Lanka had a pair of singles.

Sheets got the win for Consumers as she struck out 17, allowed three hits and walked 11.

Next was an 11-6 win over the Willen Warriors on June 16 at Malvern.

Sheets had a home run, triple and a pair of singles.

Kean followed with a triple and two singles and Brittnee Baizle tripled.

Taylor Derheimer started and got the win. She struck out 14 batters, scattered six hits and walked eight.

On June 24, Consumers rolled over host Dellroy H & M Tire 14-0 in five innings and then beat the same team 18-6 in a second game, also in five innings.
Sheets pitched a perfect game in the 14-0 win as she struck out all 15 batters she faced.

Sheets also led the way at the plate with a triple, double and single, while Kailee Kocher added three singles and Andrea Armstrong had a single.

In the 18-6 win, Sheets had a home run and three doubles, while Keane added a triple, double and single and Stevie Gould collected a single.

Derheimer got the win. She allowed three hits, struck out 10 and walked six.
