Two employees of Wheeler Construction Co. are shown working on the front of the Consumers National Bank building at 1017 Canton Rd. NW, Carrollton, where renovations are underway as part of the bank’s commitment to expand and enhance service in the communities it serves.
The renovation includes a new customer service representative office inside where new accounts can be opened and loan applications can be taken.
A centrally-located waiting area is being established with ample seating and improved lighting, along with new carpet, wallpaper and paint to the interior.
The front of the building’s exterior is being completely renovated including removal and replacement of the existing roof façade, replacement of the entrance walkway and an addition of an expanded covered entranceway in a colonial Williamsburg style.
The bank’s primary goal is to be accessible to all customers and create more privacy for customers when they come in to meet with our employees, thus improving the flow through the lobby, according to Ralph Lober, president and CEO of Consumers.
