Men, are you looking for an old-fashioned taper-style hair cut from a barber?
You don’t have to look any further than Guido’s Minerva Barber Shop to find what you are looking for!
Barber Gary Guido opened Guido’s Minerva Barber Shop at 103 E. High St., Minerva, in the former location of Gary Leatherberry’s barber shop. Guido, a graduate of Akron Barber College, said he specializes in the old-fashioned taper-style hair cuts for men as well as face shaves (including straight razors), beard trims and facials for both men and women.
“My father, Frank, was a barber in Leetonia and I am following in his footsteps,” Guido said. “I truly enjoy being a barber and want to bring back what seems to be a dying trade.”
Guido has completely remodeled the inside of the shop: installed new flooring, painted the walls and installed a new barber chair.
“I want to let the community know I’m here and open for business,” he said. “I do walk-ins and take early morning appointments.”
Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Senior citizens receive a discount on services Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The business can be reached by calling 330-614-0802.
