July 2 to 6 - The Carroll Co. Board of Elections will be closed in observance of Independence Day and for extended overtime hours from the last three elections cycles.

July 6 - PERI meeting at noon at Ponderosa.  Speaker is Carroll Co. Commissioner Tom Wheaton.

July 7 - Board of Elections meeting at 9 a.m. in the Carroll County Board of Elections office.

July 11 - Swiss Steak Dinner at Minerva Senior Center 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 adults, $4.50 children 3-12, under 3 free. For tickets, call 330-868-6004.

July 11 - Women Making Waves event to acquaint women with boating and water safety at Atwood Lake Boats 9 a.m. to noon.

July 11 - North Coast WAVES- Unit 21 will meet at Sideliners in Brimfield at 11 a.m. All Army & Air Force women welcome.  Reserve by July 4 for $15 luncheon at 330-499-1932.

July 27 - New updated flood maps from FEMA for Carroll Co. will be available for public inspection from 4-7 p.m. at the Carroll Co. Friendship Center, 100 Kensington Rd., Carrollton.

CHURCH
July 5 - Mt. Pleasant Kingdom Servants Sunday school class will meet at the home of Rick & Lisa Truman for a covered dish supper at 5 p.m.

July 12 - Mt. Pleasant Church will host an open house for the community at 3 p.m. Tours of the sanctuary and additional rooms will be given at 89 Canyon Rd.

FRIENDSHIP CENTER EVENTS
*Free coffee & donuts weekdays after 8 a.m.

*Mondays - Exercise together for fun and fitness at 11 a.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m. Bingo follows lunch.

*Tuesdays - Grocery shopping, quilters at 9 a.m., all are welcome. Tai Chi for Arthritis Instruction 11 a.m.  Lunch at 11:30 a.m.

*Wednesdays - Line dancers, beginners at 8 a.m., with dancing from 8-11:30 a.m., lunch follows. Bridge players meet at 12:30 p.m., with newcomers invited to join this fun group.

*Thursdays - Tai Chi for Arthritis Instruction 11 a.m. Lunch at 11:30 a.m.

*Thursdays - Card club at Friendship Center at 6:30, Euchre players 50 and over.

*Fridays - Exercise together for fun and fitness at 11 a.m. Lunch follows at 11:30 a.m.

*Carroll Chapter #315 Order of Eastern Star regular meeting first Thursday of each month (except July & August) at 7:30 p.m.

*Eagles #2185 men’s meetings first and third Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. on Brenner Rd. New members encouraged to attend.

*Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles #2185 meets second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. on Brenner Rd. New members welcome.

June 28 - Horseshoe Tournaments at Carrollton Eagles. Sign-up at noon; starts at 1 p.m. $7 entry fee, blind draw. Single tournament follows $5 fee.
