Carrollton High School senior Stephen Ericksen has been named first team Division III All-Ohio as voted on by members of the Associated Press.
The 6-4, 275 pound center anchored an offensive line that let Warrior running backs rush for 2,366 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Ericksen was also named All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference first team and All-Eastern District first team.
He has made a verbal commitment to play football at the University of Akron.
Named to the Division IV team was Sandy Valley senior Sam Groff.
The quarterback/linebacker was named to the second team at linebacker.
Dover High School senior quarterback Mason Mamarella ended his fine career by being named the Co-Division III Player of the Year along with Tommy Iammarino of Chagrin Falls and Jalen Santoro of Bellevue.
In Division VI, the Malvern Hornets had four representatives on the team.
The Hornets Max Kapron and teammate Josh Holmes each were second team selections, while Cobin Plessinger and Brian Merritt were special mention.
Conotton Valley’s Taylor Bowdish also received special mention. |
