Lady Warriors fall to Louisville, tie Beaver Local

FPS staff report

Louisville’s Rachel Baughman scored four goals to lead the visiting Lady Leopards to a 7-1 win over the Warriors last Wednesday to remain undefeated.

Baughman’s first goal broke the Louisville school record for goals scored in a career with 63.

The Lady Warriors’ only goal came in the second half by Jessica Stertzbach with an assist from Stephanie Donley.

Louisville held a 13-8 advantage in shots taken and a 12-2 margin in corner kicks.

Carrollton goalies Hayley Keefer and Ashlynn Knotts had nine saves.

Last Saturday, the Warriors traveled to Beaver Local where they played to a 2-2 tie.

Monica Starre and Stephanie Donley had goals for the Warriors.

Scoring for Beaver Local were Kylie Severs and Stephanie Watson.

The Warriors were to travel to St. Clairsville on Monday and be at Alliance on Wednesday.

In next week’s action, they will host West Branch on Wednesday.
