Strasburg 53, Malvern 39
Visiting Strasburg outscored Malvern 30-8 in the first half and cruised to a 53-39 win over the Hornets in an Inter-Valley Conference game.
The loss dropped the Hornets to 12-10 for the year.
Sara Loomis led the Hornets with 12 points and Logan Smalley returned from an injury to add 10 points.
Mikayla Johnson led the Tigers with 12 points and Stephanie Schuster added 11 and Kearstyn Moore chipped in with 10.
Conotton Valley 43, Morgantown Trinity Christian 42
The Rockets’ Olivia Bower scored 19 points to lead Conotton Valley to a 43-42 win over visiting Morgantown Trinity Christian in the semifinal round of the OVAC Class A Tournament.
Last Saturday, the Rockets defeated Bellaire St. John 50-22 to capture the OVAC Class A Championship at Ohio University Eastern in St. Clairsville.
Hiland 61, Sandy Valley 19
The host Hiland Hawks held the Sandy Valley Cardinals to just five points in the second half of their 61-19 win last Wednesday.
Regina Hochstetler led the way with 20 points, while Megan Beachy added 10.
Mercedes Bowling led the Cardinals with six points.
Last Saturday, the Cardinals fell to visiting Newcomerstown 56-46 in an IVC contest.
The Trojans led 15-10 after the first quarter, 30-21 at halftime and 38-27 going into the final quarter.
Bowling led the Cardinals with 19 points.
Sandy Valley ended its regular season with an overall record of 7-15.
Canton Central Catholic 47, Minerva 38
Canton Central Catholic outscored host Minerva in every quarter and defeated the Lions 47-38 in a nonleague game last Saturday.
Raychel Blocher led the Lions with 11 points and Mayson Hardgrove added 10.
Katie Nixdorf led the Crusaders with13 points and seven rebounds.
The Lions end their regular season at 15-7. |
