CHS girls golf team places 8th at Districts

FPS staff report

An excellent season came to an end for the Carrollton Lady Warriors golf team last Monday at the Division II District Golf tournament at Pickaway Country Club.

Carrollton’s Lady Warriors finished eighth out of 14 teams with a team score of 389.

Lael Shields led the Warriors with a low round of 89 on the par 72 course.

Sara Truman followed with a 96, Olivia Albrecht a 98 and Elizabeth Domer a 106.

Minerva followed in ninth place with a 391.

Circleville Logan Elm won the tournament with a 351, Westfall was second with a 360, Claymont was third with a 367 and Strasburg and Centerburg tied for fourth with a 380.

The top three teams qualified for the state tournament.
