Since their season-opening loss to Northwest, the Carrollton varsity volleyball team have won their last four matches to bring their season record to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference.
Last Tuesday, the Warriors cruised to a three-game win over visiting Marlington 25-14, 25-20 and 25-17.
Addie Borland recorded 14 points, including three aces. Kelsey Voll finished with 23 assists. Ali Poole and Borland were the Warriors’ top hitters with 10 kills each.
Roz Pridemore controlled the net with five solo blocks.
For the Dukes, Morgan Penirol had 16 assists, Paige Yoho six kills and Marlee Peck two solo blocks.
The loss dropped the Dukes to 2-2 for the year and 1-1 in the NBC.
Last Thursday at West Branch, it took four tough games, but the Warriors came home with a 25-17, 22-25, 25-11 and 25-18 win.
Poole had a huge match serving. She finished with 16 points, including two aces. Voll recorded 39 assists.
Defensively at the net, Borland had 17 kills and Pridemore two solo blocks. Kady Davis had 13 digs for the Warriors.
Carrollton was to host Salem Tuesday. They will travel to Canton South Thursday and take part in a quadangular Saturday at Coshocton.
