The Carrollton High School girls golf team is off to another good start.

The defending Northeastern Buckeye Conference champions improved their record to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the NBC after their first full week of action.

Last Monday the Lady Warriors took part in the Tri-County Pre-season Tournament at Pleasant View. Carrollton placed 10th with a 429.

Olivia Albrecht was low for the Warriors with a 98. She was followed by Anna Truman with a 101, Elizabeth Domer with a 102 and Josie Townsend with a 128.

Dover took top honors with a 337.

Last Tuesday the Warriors hosted NBC rival Louisville at Carroll Meadows. The Leopards defeated the Warriors 194-215.

Albrecht shot a 47 for the Warriors. Domer was next with a 50, Truman shot a 52 and Elizabeth Bormuth a 66. Sierra Townsend shot a 43 for the Leopards.

Last Thursday the Warriors hosted Beaver Local and Salem in a triangular.

Carrollton placed first with a 201, Beaver Local was second with a 219 and Salem third with a 229.

Albrecht shot a 47 for Carrollton. She was followed by Domer with a 48, Truman a 49, Townsend a 57 and Bormuth a 58.

Last Friday the Warriors were on the road at the par 35 Big Ben Golf Course to play the Claymont Mustangs.

Albrecht fired a career-low 37 to lead the Warriors to a one stroke win over the Mustangs, 177-178.

Domer added a 43, Truman a 47, Townsend a 50 and Madison Yockey a 56. Sami Dorland led the Mustangs with a 38.

Carrollton was to be at Marlington Tuesday. They will travel to Minerva on Thursday. Next week, The Warriors will travel to Salem on Wednesday and host Marlington on Thursday.
