Malvern 68, Newcomerstown 52
Malvern trailed 15-12 after the opening quarter, but rallied to outscore host Newcomerstown 33-16 in the second and third quarters to defeat the Trojans 68-52 last Friday night in an Inter-Valley Conference game.

Trey Tucci led the Hornets with 23 points, while Mitch Loomis was close behind with 22 points.

Austin King led the Trojans with a 23 points and Steve Poe added 11 points.

West Branch 57, Minerva 54 (OT)
The host Warriors outscored Minerva 13-8 in overtime to defeat the Lions 57-54 last Friday night in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference contest.

Minerva held a 39-34 advantage going into the final frame, but the Warriors outscored the Lions 13-8 in the final period to tie the score at 52-52 and force overtime.

Kristian Knight scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Lions, while Nick Clapper added 17.

Kip DeShields led West Branch with 17 points.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic 69 Sandy Valley 63 (double OT)
Tusky Central’s Mitch Herron scored a school record 46 points, including nine three-pointers, as the visiting Trojans won a double-overtime game 69-63 over Sandy Valley in an Inter-Valley Conference contest.

Nate Shepler led the Cardinals with 23 points, including a three-quarter length shot to send the game into the second overtime period.

Darren Finn added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Cardinals, who fell to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the IVC.
