Warriors-Wildcats battle to tie in NBC contest

FPS staff report

In what turned out to be a defensive struggle, the Carrollton boys soccer team and Canton South played to a 2-2 tie at Community Stadium.

Seniors Austin Keefer and Sam Dowell scored for the Warriors. Keefer’s goal came on a penalty kick.

The Wildcats outshot the Warriors 7-4 and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Carrollton goalies Ashton Coad and Mason Pasiuk each combined for four saves.

For the Wildcats, Tim Schaar and Tommy Chastain each had a goal.

The Warriors were to be at Louisville on Tuesday. They will host Beaver Local on Thursday.

Next week, the Warriors will host a pair of home matches; Alliance on Tuesday and Indian Creek on Thursday.
