The Carrollton High School volleyball team held its season ending banquet recently.
Receiving Special Awards were: Warrior Award – junior Rebecca Grunder and Addie Davis; Best Hitter – senior Mackenzie Hess; Best Defensive Player – senior Liza Kirk, and Most Improved – Kelsy Voll.
Receiving their fourth year varsity letters were Taylor Lowdermilk, Hess and Kirk.
Earning her third year letter was senior Emily Swaim.
Receiving second year letters were seniors Miranda Brown and Taylor Eddie; junior Rebecca Grunder and sophomore Addie Borland.
Earning first year letters were Davis and Voll.
Receiving Certificates of Participation were sophomores Mackenzie DeGarmo, Mazie Hill, Savana Lowery, Mackenzie Ray and Abigale Wilson, and freshmen Maddie Birong, Kady Davis, Eliza Days, Lauren Ferrell, Ali Poole and Roz Pridemore.
Earning All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference honors were Hess, first team; Lowdermilk and Borland, Second team; Kirk and Voll, Honorable Mention.
Being named an All-NBC Scholar Athlete for earning a varsity letter and carrying a 3.4 grade point average were Brown, Hess, Kirk, Swaim, Davis, Borland and Voll.
Hess and Lowdermilk were named to the All-Eastern District second team and Borland gained honorable mention.
The Warriors were coached this past season by Amanda Kohler. Kelly Ann Butterworth served as varsity assistant and Lori Bryan coached the junior varsity team. |
