The Carrollton girls bowling team opened their season last Tuesday night by falling to Wooster 2,201-2,183 at Carroll Lanes.
Courtney Maurer rolled games of 175 and 179 for a 354 to lead the Warriors.
She was followed by Destinee Stidom with games of 161 and 166 for a 327, Brittany Rohr with games of 153 and 150 for a 303, Danielle Brammer with games of 131 and 151 for a 282 and Brandie Jo Tinlin with games of 146 and 127 for a 273.
Wooster also won the Baker, 666-644.
Karlie Way rolled a 374 for Wooster.
Last Wednesday, the Lady Warriors visited Hall of Fame Lanes for a match with Perry High School.
Perry defeated the Lady Warriors 2,211-2,176.
Tinlin had games of 183 and 154 for a 337 to lead the Lady Warriors. She was followed by Brammer with games of 153 and 179 for a 332, Maurer rolled games of 145 and 171 for a 316, Rohr had games of 160 and 146 for a 306. Stidom rolled an 125 and Maddie Ray a 132.
In the Baker, Perry rolled a 709 and Carrollton a 628.
In junior varsity action, the Warriors fell to Perry 1,537-1,346 in their only match last week.
Brittney Carper led the way with a 251, Bryana Carper was next with a 247, Ashlee Matthews rolled a 169, Jenna McNutt a 161, and Eliza Days and Erica Laughlin each rolled a 75.
Perry won the Baker 406 to 358.
Carrollton was to host Alliance Tuesday night. Next week, Lake will visit Carroll Lanes on Tuesday and on Thursday the Warriors will travel to Hall of Fame Lanes for a match with Canton South. |
