Carrollton’s Poole named District V first teamer; CV’s Bower and Edie on top team

FPS staff report

The District V girls basketball coaches met recently and selected their All-District teams.

In Division II, Carrollton had one player named to the first team, sophomore Ali Poole, while junior Monica Starre received second team honors and junior Savana Lowery was named honorable mention.

Minerva’s Josie Chaddock received honorable mention.

Laina Snyder of West Holmes was named Player of the Year and head coach Lisa Patterson Coach of the Year.

In Division III, Sandy Valley’s Cortney Huffman and Mercedes Bowling were named to the second team with Victoria Eyster receiving honorable mention.

In Division IV, the Conotton Valley Lady Rockets had two players receive first team honors in Olivia Bower and Piper Edie, while Brynlynn Belknap made the second team and Chandice Cottis honorable mention.

Conotton Valley head coach Chandra Myers was named Coach of the Year in Division IV.
