Carrollton High School bowlers Hunter Lumley and Courtney Maurer represented Carrollton last Friday in the Eastern District bowling tournament at Shawnee Lanes in Chillicothe.
Each rolled solid games, but failed to qualify for this weekend’s State meet at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl in Columbus.
Lumley rolled a 667 series, while Maurer rolled a 553 series.
The Minerva boys and girls teams each placed second, but failed to make it to Columbus.
The boys finished with a team score of 4,183, while the girls rolled a 3,617.
The Lions’ Clayton Ward rolled a 724 series to qualify for the state meet.
Maysville won the six-team boys title with a total pin count of 4,358, while Zanesville won the girls title with a pin count of 3,625.
One team and one individual qualified for the state match. |
