|Austin Wolford paced Carrollton in the Warrior opening season win over visiting Wooster. Wolford rolled a 427.
Carrollton senior Austin Wolford rolled a 427 to lead the Carrollton boys bowling team to a 2,500-2,432 win over Wooster last Tuesday at Carroll Lanes in the opening match of the season for both teams.
Wolford bowled games of 204 and 223, while teammate Ben Power had games of 164 and 204 to finish with a 368.
Aaron Brammer was close behind as he rolled games of 187 and 1880 to finish with a 367. Hunter Lumley had games of 193 and 171 to finish with a 364 and Byron Carper rolled games of 154 and 152 to finish with a 306.
Wooster won the Baker 701-668.
Last Wednesday, the Warriors were on the road at Hall of Fame Lanes to take on the Perry Panthers.
The Panthers defeated the Warriors 2,275-2,673 to even the Warriors’ season record at 1-1.
Lance Nape rolled games of 198 and 210 for a 408 to lead the Warriors, while Austin Wolford had a 148 and 222 for a 370, Power had games of 196 and 172 for a 368, Lumley had games of 160 and 191 for a 351 and Brammer rolled 164 and 165 for a 329.
Perry won the Baker 847-786.
Austin Reese rolled a 455 for Perry.
In junior varsity action, the Warriors defeated Wooster 1,929-1,508.
James Wolford rolled a 357, Lance Nape had a 356, Trent Proctor a 334, Kennie Hutson a 285 and Dalton Ulman a 281.
Against Perry, the Warriors won by the score of 2,401-2,108.
Hutson and Carper each rolled a 373 for the Warriors. Trent Proctor finished with a 338, James Wolford a 317 and Ulman a 301.
Carrollton was to host Alliance Tuesday. Next week, the Warriors will host Lake on Tuesday and travel to Canton South on Thursday.
