The high school volleyball season is quickly coming to an end for the Lady Warriors.
Carrollton was to travel to Alliance Tuesday and will host Minerva Thursday.
They will end their regular season next week on the road at Louisville on Tuesday and Salem on Thursday.
In action from the past week, the Warriors won two Northeastern Buckeye Conference matches to bring their league record to 8-2 and 15-3 overall for the year.
Last Tuesday the Warriors rolled over visiting Marlington in three sets, 25-12, 25-17 and 25-21.
Becca Grunder led the Warriors with 13 points (3 aces) and Kelsey Voll had 19 assists. Mackenzie Hess finished with nine kills and Liza Kirk had 12 digs.
The Warriors also won the junior varsity game, 25-15 and 25-12.
For the Lady Dukes, Morgan Lutz had 10 points (3 aces) and Allie Carr had eight assists. Lindsey Campbell had four kills for Marlington, which fell to 5-9 for the year.
Last Thursday, the Warriors were on the road at Canton South. Carrollton defeated the Wildcats in three sets, 25-22, 25-20 and 25-17.
Miranda Brown was the top server for the Warriors with seven points, including two aces. Voll had another good game at setter with 29 assists. Senior Taylor Lowdermilk recorded 13 digs and Addie Borland recorded 12 kills. |
