|The Carrollton volleyball team improved to 9-2 on their year last week with four wins.
It was another strong week of play for the Carrollton Lady Warrior varsity volleyball team.
The Warriors won four of five matches to bring their overall season record to 9-2 and 3-1 in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference.
Last Tuesday, the Lady Warriors dropped their first NBC contest of the season. They fell to visiting Salem in four games, 25-21, 25-22, 22-25 and 25-15.
Addie Davis led the Warriors with 10 service points, including a pair of aces. Kelsey Voll finished with 24 saves.
Defensively, Kady Davis recorded 21 digs, Ali Poole 11 kills and Roz Pridemore three solo blocks.
Last Thursday the Warriors were on the road at Canton South.
Led by Voll’s 28 assists and 12 points (4 aces) the Warriors easily defeated the Wildcats in three games 25-23, 25-14 and 25-16.
Davis recorded 16 digs, Poole 13 kills and Pridemore three solo blocks.
Last Saturday Carrollton was again on the road for a quadrangular at Coshocton.
It was well worth the drive down to Coshocton as the Warriors picked up three wins.
They opened with a three set win over Garaway, 25-9, 21-25 and 25-22.
Voll led the offense with 10 points (three aces) and 32 assists. Borland recorded 15 kills and Davis 21 digs. Pridemore finished with four solo blocks.
They followed that with a two set win over host Coshocton, 26-9 and 25-12.
Voll had 13 assists, Davis 13 digs and Pridemore a pair of solo blocks.
In their final match, the Warriors rolled over Indian Valley 25-19 and 25-22.
Davis served for eight points and Voll had 22 assists. Davis recorded 20 digs and Poole 11 kills.
The Warriors were to host Louisville Tuesday. They will be a Minerva on Thursday and host Claymont Saturday morning.
Next week, they will host Alliance on Tuesday and travel to Marlington on Thursday.
