FPS staff report
July 11, 2011
The Carrollton High School wrestling program had 42 boys in grades second through 12th take part in their annual wrestling camp last week.
They spent the week learning technique and wrestling strategies from Mount Union head coach Mark Hawald, the Division III Coach of the Year last year.
“It was a great experience for all the athletes,” said Carrollton Head Coach Chad Hilliard. “Some campers have never had the opportunity to attend a summer wrestling camp, and have exposure to some elite coaching from college level coaches. This will help our program from top to bottom.”
“This was a great camp for the wrestlers and for the coaching staff. We had members from our high school and middle school staff as well as our Carrollton Youth Wrestling Club staff all working together to help our athletes strive to reach their full potential by being involved in a quality camp in the summer.” |
