Tickets available for Class of 2013 CHS Athletic Hall of Fame breakfast

Breakfast tickets for the Carrollton High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2013 induction are now available.

Tickets for the Saturday, Aug. 31 breakfast, to be held at the Atwood Lake Lodge and Resort downstairs ballroom at 9 a.m., are $15 each for adults. Children 5-12 pay $7.50 each.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Curt Hensley at 330-627-5135.

Five individuals and one team will be inducted this year. Entering the Hall will be the late John Beck, former football assistant and head basketball coach; Jessica Edie Ujcich, multi-sport athlete at CHS and 2002 grad; the late Charles “Moose” Kertel, football player who graduated in 1941; Matt Sprague, 1990 grad and three-time state qualifier in wrestling; Jon Suma, 2002 grad who is arguably the best all-time golfer in CHS history, and the 1966-67 undefeated in duals wrestling team.

Inductees will be honored at halftime of the Carrollton-East Liverpool football game on Friday, Aug. 30 at Community Stadium. Any member of the wrestling team that RSVP’s by Aug. 1 will receive a special award at the banquet breakfast.

Honorees should be at the downstairs ballroom prior to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 31 for the taking of photos.
