The Carrollton High School baseball team recently held its season ending banquet at Hensley Field at the Field of Dreams complex south of Carrollton.
The Warriors ended their season with an overall record of 12-14 and 4-10 in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference.
Second year Head Coach Butch Wood and assistant coaches Mike Miller, Ken Pasiuk, Storm Hill and Matt Bryan presented members of the varsity, junior varsity and freshmen teams with special awards, varsity letters and certificates of participation.
Receiving Special Awards were Cody Walker, Jim Honnold Hitting Award; Damon Anderson, Tom Birong Thief Award; Andrew Collins and Adam Miller, Kris Mallarnee Golden Glove Award; Jeremiah Lowery, Russ Leatherberry Pitching Award; Tyler Krantz, Curt Hensley Coaches Award, and Aaron Miller, Captains Award.
Anderson received his fourth year varsity letter, while Walker and Mason Voulgares each were handed their third year letter.
Earning second year letters were Austin Fisher, Miller, Lowery, Caleb Moyer, Aaron Gang, Collins, Storm Mohn and Krantz.
Receiving their first years letters were Mirko Dobrijevic and Zach Fry.
Members of the junior varsity team receiving certificates of participation were Garett Davis, Adam Birtcher, Matt Yoder, Zachary Brannick, Trenton Leggett, Jimmy Bales, Deven Hezoucky, Adam Warner, Cody Zollars, Troy Fairclough and Logan Russ.
Freshmen team members are Jon Atkinson, Austin Brooks, Jim Galbraith, Colby Jenkins, Nate MayKowski, Zach Blake, Andrew Fuhrer, Joe Galbraith, Andrew Knapp and Joe Newell.
Adam Miller earned a NBC Scholar Athlete Award for carrying a 3.4 grade point average and earning a varsity letter.
Four Warriors were named to the All-NBC All-Star team - Walker, first team; Anderson, second team; Collins and Mohn, honorable mention. |
