The Carrollton boys track team hosted their final home meet of the season last Tuesday night against Canton South.
The Wildcats defeated the Warriors 69-59.
Finishing in first place for the Warriors were the 3,200-meter relay team of Austin Keefer, Noah Stertzbach, Austin Wolford and John Brown with a time of 8:58, and the 1,600-meter relay team of Keefer, Stertzbach, Zach Fuhrer and Brown with a time of 3:43.
Junior Lynk Tranter had three firsts for the Warriors. He ran a time of 15.2 in the 110 hurdles, a 12.1 in the 100-meter dash and jumped 5’6” in the high jump.
Wolford was first in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:51 and Tyler Dodd was first in the shot put with a throw of 46’10”.
Placing second were Tranter in the long jump with a jump of 19’3”, Dakota Maple in the discus with a throw of 131’3”, Wolford in the 1,600 with a time of 4:52, Keefer in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.7, Brown in the 800 with a time of 2:13 and Jacob Casto in the shot with a throw of 44’5.5”.
Placing third were Fuhrer in the high jump with a jump of 5’4” and the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.6, Stertzbach in the 400 with a time of 55.2, Knipp in the 800 with a time of 2:15, Dodd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.5 and Austin Bentley in the shot with a throw of 44’2”.
The Warriors were to be at Louisville Tuesday. They will take part in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference Championships Friday at Marlington High School.
The district tournament will be held Thursday May 23 and Saturday May 25 at West Holmes High School.
