The Carrollton High School boys varsity golf team is looking for another excellent season.
The Warriors are coming off a 2013 season where they went 11-3 overall and were Northeastern Buckeye Conference co-champions.
“The guys have worked hard all summer,” said head coach Gary Cogan. “They have all played in a lot of tournaments this summer. We are looking for an exciting season.”
Returning to lead the Warriors are five seniors, led by Cale Pozderac. Pozderac is a three-year letterman and was named All-NBC MVP last season. He averaged a 37.75 per outing last year.
Tyler Shuman was All-NBC first team, is a three-year letter winner and averaged 42.0 last season.
Troy Fairclough was All-NBC second team last season and averaged 43.23.
Mason Albrecht was honorable mention All-NBC with an average of 45.59.
Luke Cosart also returns for the Warriors. He averaged 47.75 last season.
Rounding out the Warrior roster are juniors Max Feller, Nick Abel, Cree Ward and Derrick Hemming, sophomore Clay Pidgeon and freshmen Christian Barto, Emmitt Davis, Bryce Ferrell, Dylan Pape and Riley Wilson.
Carrollton was to host West Branch on Tuesday and travel to Marlington on Wednesday.
The Warriors will be at the Alliance Golf Tournament on Thursday and travel to West Branch on Friday.
