The Carroll County YMCA football program held a three-day clinic last week at Community Field.

Carrollton Head Football Coach Eric McCort and members of the Warrior varsity football team instructed over 40 campers on the fundamentals, including blocking, ball carrying, receiving, passing and defensive skills.

According to Coach McCort the clinic helped not only the youth players, but his seasoned varsity players as well.

“Helping with the clinic allowed the varsity players to understand how much the youth players look up to them and respect them,” McCort said. “We are very pleased to see the varsity stars of today teaching the stars of tomorrow.”

John Ianigro, Director of the Carroll County YMCA, was pleased with the three-day clinic.

“This was a big success,” Ianigro said. “I would like to thank Coach McCort, the varsity players and all the volunteers that made the clinic a success.
