Carrollton High School wrestling
Joey Miller won by technical fall last Thursday night to help the Warriors gain a 33-29 win over visiting Minerva.

The Carrollton wrestling team wrapped up a regular season with a thrilling 33-29 win over visiting Minerva last Thursday night.

The encounter was close throughout. It was not decided until the next to the last match of the night.

Connor Mosley pinned Luke Walter at the 1:36 mark of the 170-pound match giving the Warriors a seven-point advantage with one match left to wrestle.

“This was a great team win tonight,” said head coach Ken Pasiuk. “This was a fun and exciting match to watch and coach. All the kids wrestled with a lot of pride and class. Each one battled hard and wrestled for the team. Myself and the coaching staff could not be more proud of them.”

The Warriors finish with a dual meet record of 21-6 and finish second in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference with a 6-1 mark.

The 21 wins by the Warriors is a new school record.

Minerva placed third in the NBC with two losses.
