The Carrollton High School varsity wrestling team won 13 of the 14 matches wrestled to defeat visiting Alliance 68-6 last Thursday night in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference dual match.
The win improved the host Warriors to 15-4 for the year and 4-0 in the NBC.
Carrollton will face their toughest competition of the season this week as they travel to West Branch on Thursday for a showdown of undefeated teams in the NBC. Over the weekend, they will take part in the annual Top Gun Tournament at Alliance High School.
The Warriors recorded six pins, two decisions, two major decisions and three forfeits.
Winning by pin for the Warriors were C. J. Brady (106) with a pin of Michael Kurpil in 1:40; Jesse Young (113) pinned Elijah Hill in 1:12; Joey Miller (126) pinned Isaiah Watson in 53-seconds; Dustin Pape (132) pinned Mycheal Jefferson in 1:19; Tristan Stallard (145) pinned Kaner Yoho in 1:07 and Connor Mosley (170) pinned Tyler Busch in 1:48.
Cody Stragan (138) won a 14-5 major decision over Michael MaCenczak and Austin Brooks (152) took an 11-3 major decision over Devin Weatherspoon.
Winning by decision were Austin Miller (195) with a 9-3 decision over Donnie Greenamyer and Jordan Houyouse won a 6-5 decision over Shawn Barnes.
Winning by forfeit were Mat Schaney (120); Justin Johnson (182) and Austin Bentley (220).
