Stark State College sets open house for April 13
FPS staff report

Stark State College of Technology will hold a spring open house Sunday, April 13, from noon to 3 p.m. at the college’s campus at 6200 Frank Ave. NW in Jackson Twp., adjacent to the Stark Campus of Kent State University.

The college offers 49 associate degrees and 14 certificate programs in market-driven, career-oriented fields. In addition, competency certificates and continuing education classes are available.

Admissions counselors and faculty will be available to provide tours and answer questions about majors and programs; financial aid representatives will answer questions about federal and state aid programs, as well as scholarship opportunities. Career services staff will provide counseling and information about career opportunities.

Free blood pressure screenings, strength testing, chair massages and refreshments will also be available.

Summer semester classes begin June 2 while fall semester classes will start Aug. 25. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 330-494-6170 or 1-800-79-STARK or visit the website at www.starkstate.edu.
