A new employee has joined the Carroll County Developmental Disabilities program.
At the Aug. 26 meeting of the Carroll County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCBDD), Supt. Mathual (Matt) Campbell announced Nancy Wenner of Carrollton has been hired as the new Early Intervention Specialist/Service Coordinator at Carroll Hills School.
Campbell said Ms. Wenner graduated recently from Walsh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Intervention. “We are pleased to have Nancy on board and I feel she will be a wonderful addition to our fine staff,” Campbell added.
In other business, the Board:
- HEARD Campbell report he learned at the Ohio Superintendents of County Boards of Developmental Disability’s 2010 Summer Conference the Carroll County Board will lose over $38,000 in 501 Subsidy money, $169,000 in tax equity and $142,000 in tangible personal property tax revenue per year to be phased in over 8 years beginning in 2011.
- LEANRED that by contracting with the Carroll County Transit almost all adults attending Carroll Hills Workshop are being transported on vans and bus routes have been reduced from 5 to 3.
- WERE INFORMED there will be a “one call system” instituted so when information which needs to be conveyed to the students, adults and staff such as calamity days, each family or individual will receive an automated phone call notifying them.
- APPROVED a contract between the CCBDD and Carroll Hills Industries for 2010-11 for regarding services and transportation.
- SET the next regular meeting for Sept. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the administration offices at 1182 Roswell Rd. SW, Carrollton. |
