Mary Kean White Memorial scholarships are awarded

FPS staff report

Three scholarships totaling $2,400 have been awarded to three Carrollton High School seniors by the Mary Kean White Memorial Scholarship fund.
This year’s recipients are:

Megan Galliher, daughter of Bruce and Barbara Galliher of 255 Montero Rd. NE, Carrollton, who plans to attend Kent State University and major in early childhood education.

Taylar Bennett, daughter of James and Tammy Bennett of 8153 Kensington Rd. Augusta. Although Taylar is undecided on her college choice, she plans to major in early childhood education.

Bradley Miley, son of Cynthia Starcher of 525 Canton Rd., Carrollton, who plans to major in music and art. He is undecided on what college he plans to attend.

The scholarship fund was established in 2000 in memory of Mary Kean White, a longtime former teacher at Malvern and Carrollton schools.
