Minerva board accepts retirement resignation

FPS staff report

In addition to approving a new three-year contract with the Minerva Local Education Association at a special meeting June 4, the Minerva Local Board of Education accepted the retirement resignation of Susan Vincent, an elementary teacher effective June 30 who has 35 years of service with the school district.

The Board also approved Diane Ruff as the Summer School coordinator and the following list of Summer School teachers to be paid from Race to the Top funds: Debra Hartwig, Jaynie Galay, Sheri Imler, Karen Johnson, Jon McCully, Erin Roach, Lauren Syverson, Ashley Wallace, Brandi Schatzer, Susan Goebeler, Sheri Jarvis, Christine Kohl, Mikka Ray, Vicki Stafford and Katrina Timmerman; Stephanie Soehnlen and Joni Anderson, both substitutes, and Shelda Johnston, PLATO on-line program at Minerva High School.

The Board’s next regular meeting is June 18 at 7 p.m. in the board meeting room.
