Erin Green and Kennie Hutson have been named Students of the Month for February at Bell-Herron Middle School, where both are 8th grade students.
Daughter of Kerry and Denise Green of 727 Courtview Dr., Carrollton, Erin is a cheerleader, member of the spring musical and is a solo and ensemble music contest participant.
Her community activities include ballet dancing, playing the piano, bass and drums in church and serving as a children’s church teacher. Erin also sings in church and goes to the nursing home monthly.
Her awards include 3 piano trophies, Honor roll status and Academic Hall of Game.
Hutson, son of Ken and Denise Hutson of 345 Avalon Rd., Dellroy, is a member of the band and football weight training program at Bell-Herron. He was listed as the Most Changed in the school yearbook and his hobbies include paintball, football, playing drums and exercising.
The Student of the Month program at Bell-Herron Middle School is coordinated by Kris Mallarnee and Shawn Neely who compile and distribute a list of Students who have been nominated for the honor by the Bell-Herron faculty. The Student Council presents a Carrollton Warrior jacket to each of the Students of the Month. |
