FPS staff report

Two Minerva High School students have been chosen as the January Students of the month at R. G. Drage Career Technical Center.

They are Kaitlyn Spiker, a junior enrolled in the bakery pastry operations program, and Curtis Stout, a senior enrolled in the metal fabrication program.

Daughter of Mindie and Paul Hilderbrand of East Rochester, Kaitlyn is a member of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter and ProStart Observer team at R. G. Drage. She will attend the North America Pizza and Ice Cream show this month.

At Minerva High School, Kaitlyn is active in the French Club and International Circle.

Curtis, son of Angela and Matthew Stout of East Rochester, is a member of Skills USA and a student helper in the junior metal fabrication class at Drage. He also is employed at Kramer’s Inc. as a certified fluxcore welder.

Students of the Month are chosen by a committee of staff and administrators on the basis of attendance, grades, activities and attitude.
