Three Conotton Valley seniors awarded Wheeling Jesuit University scholarships

FPS staff report

Three Conotton Valley High School seniors have been awarded scholarships to Wheeling Jesuit University for the 2013 fall term.

Receiving $15,000 yearly scholarships are Keaton Carrothers, son of Penny and Dan Howard of Mineral City and Quentin and Amanda Carrothers of Bowerston, and Zach Lyon, son of Jolee Newhouse of Terre Haute, IN, and nephew of Bill and Mary Lyon of Bowerston.

Jay Vaughan, son of Jay and Jill Vaughan of Sherrodsville, has been awarded a full tuition scholarship. All three attended a tour of the campus and have applied to the university.

All are members of the Conotton Valley athletic program and varsity basketball this year.
