A contract was approved to update the heating and cooling system at Carroll Hills School when the Carroll County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MRDD) met June 19.
Henry Heating and Cooling of Dover was selected as the contractor to update the system at a cost of $100,586. The work is to be completed this summer.
In other business, the Board:
- LEARNED the 2009 through 2013 Strategic Plan will be ready for presentation at the next Board meeting.
- HEARD information gleaned from the surveys of the Carroll County Locally Specialized Transportation Plan is being compiled and will be sent to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
- WAS informed Willie Jones of Canal Fulton will offer a 4-hour Ohio Department of MRDD approved training for Board members on Positive Support for Challenging Situations in the near future.
- HEARD Supt. Matt Campbell report there are Disaster Preparedness plans in place for Carroll Hills School, Carroll Hills Administration and Carroll Hills Industries. Another plan is being developed for pandemic flu and mass local prophylaxis, Campbell told the Board.
- DECIDED not to meet in July since the ODMRDD only requires county boards to hold 10 meetings each year.
- SET the next regular meeting for Aug. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the administrative office at 1182 Roswell Rd., Carrollton. |
