Local and area high school music students are preparing their vocal and instrumental solos and ensembles for the annual District 8 solo and ensemble contest to be held this Saturday, Feb. 6, at Massillon Washington High School.
According to Carrollton High School Band Director David Dickerhoof, 13 instrumental soloists and six instrumental ensembles from CHS will compete in Saturday’s event which is open to the public.
Following is a list of the CHS events as provided by Dickerhoof:
Soloists
Flute - Emma Starre, Brynne Cross, Brooke Parsons, Nicole Wallace and Hope Crawford.
Oboe - Hannah Podratz.
Clarinet - Jared Ray and Rose Patterson.
