This week’s halftime show at Carrollton’s football game will feature both upcoming band members and former majorettes.
The Middle School Band Night will include the 7th and 8th grade Bell-Herron band members who will join the high school marching band in the performance of a number, along with six high school and alumni twirling majorettes.
The six high school majorettes are shown in the above photo. From left are Ashley Irwin, a sophomore; Lydia Wiley, Kim Locker, Becca Donley and Heather Parker, all seniors, and Allie Bennett, a sophomore.
During home football games, the six girls are performing with the Warriorettes on the track.
Members of the alumni majorettes are Becky Berardinelli, Sandi Tasker, Frances Shotwell Mahmoud and Teri McCauley Eichel, who began a twirling team consisting of the CHS majorettes as well as younger, future majorette hopefuls known as the Warriorettes.
Their first performance was at the Carrollton National Day of Prayer event last May. Over the summer, the twirling team marched in seven parades, winning Best Marching unit in five of those parades.
The majorettes also performed at the Golden Age Retreat open house and were invited to lead the survivors at the Carroll County Relay for Life last June. |
