A 2009 graduate of Malvern High School is among 60 Ohioans from 36 counties nominated by U. S. Senator Sherrod Brown to attend U. S. Military Service Academies.

Cadet Rine, who was the valedictorian of the 2009 graduating class at Malvern High School, is currently serving with the United States Navy.
