Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:
It’s time again for a very important vote to help sustain our own County Home. The home was primarily built to provide care to those in need. If you talk to a relative, friend or acquaintance who has someone living there, you will learn about the good care they receive. The social activities and programs provided are really special and fun. The residents are kept as active and involved as possible. Visitors are always welcomed and tours are available. It’s really a cheerful place. There are lots of smiles and hugs for some people who had very little in their lives.

I hope you vote. Be sure to look for the issue. It’s the very last one on the ballot but I think it’s the most important. Something astounding to me is that the monthly charge has been the same since 2000. That’s almost unbelievable. Donations accepted by the home, some very generous, are necessary for its continuing existence.
