To the Editor:
The President, House and Senate all think the carbon tax in this budget is a good idea. What it will cost, according to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is $3,128 to each household per year to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Some experts say if we were able to eliminate all our carbon dioxide emissions, China and India’s output would replace our decrease within six years. We will weaken our economy for no benefit and our politicians know this. All for monetary gain and control to them. We will pay higher energy costs to save he planet while freezing next winter to cure a problem (global warming) that can’t be fixed of may not exist. Our Congressman, Zack Space, voted for this bill and it looks like Senator Brown will as well. I can’t wait to vote for these guys again.
