To the Editor:
On behalf of the Carroll County Ministerial Association and the volunteer staff of the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry ministry, I would like to thank the community for the generous response to the Christmas appeal for funding. Churches, civic groups, business and individuals donated thousands of dollars which enabled the purchasing of meat for the holidays as well as helping to fund ongoing monthly food purchases.

We are serving over 300 lower income households on a monthly basis for all parts of the county not served by another pantry. Those whose work schedules prevent them from coming to distribution can call 330-627-2917 to arrange for pickup.

Special thanks to Thorne’s and Betty Kaye Bakery for regular weekly donations of food and to several churches, businesses, school groups and other organizations that have sponsored fundraisers or collections of food on behalf of the Loaves and Fishes Pantry. Special thanks to all the anonymous individual or individuals who provided a brand new refrigerator for the pantry.

The Loaves and Fishes Pantry is a cooperative ministry sponsored by the various area churches through the Carroll County Ministerial Association.
